Not sure if this is a bug or intended, but I got a ripper dino egg before ranch out of time release which turned into a ripper dinosaur (unchecked) with yesterday's update. Now that I put it in my pen the egg hatched into a venomous dinosaur. I never even killed 1 veno dino, ever.
Edit: Is this a visual bug or am I missing something? Breed says Ripper Dinosaur but right click option says venomous
The Devs are away home now so i'll note this down for tomorrow but I believe the reason this happens is that Feral/Ripper/Venomous dinosaurs come under one branch of "Varanusaurs".
They have 1 base baby model (which you've shown in your image) but can grow into any of the 3 different 'breeds' depending on which one it is. In this case that baby you have should grow into a Ripper dinosaur.
I think the issue here is that the naming should be changed from "Baby Venomous" to "Baby Varanusaur" to be more general and not look/sound like a bug. I'll follow up on it tomorrow morning :)
(As an aside - the breeding log should show 4 'Varanusaurs', with one being shiny.)
EDIT: Just looked at Baby Chinchompas in game, they do the exact same thing, they're just named "baby chinchompa" which is more general :)
