I Honestly believe that this is bugged with excavation sites that contain 3 artefacts at the moment. From what i can see from in game experimentation and also in everyone's posts about their bad luck with artefacts, i can see that in cases where there is a dominant artefact it seems the total number of the other 2 (non-dominant) artefacts almost always add up to the number of the dominant. For example 30-19-11. I do believe that there is bad luck mitigation linked to archaeology however it was designed for excavation sites that have 2 artefacts not 3, and this is why it is giving a 50/50 split of artefacts over 3 different types.

From what i can see there is almost no complaints from people about getting one artefact more than the other at a excavation site with 2 artefacts.

Thoughts?

This is just RNG.

It works based on weightings (regardless of how many different artefacts a spot contains), and we track the last three artefacts received. If you were to three of A in a row, your weightings for A/B/C would be 1/10/10, so still have a 1/21 chance to receive A again. It happens.

We have discussed increasing the prior artefact tracking from three to five, which should help some more.
