I think this response to the fix may also be overlooking a potential big QoL adjustment highlighted in the OP post.
Why can't we have the 'take all' for each type of item we are right clicking on?
Looting custom seems outdated and not something you can really adjust easily when in combat.
Definitely agree, that would be awesome! Going to suggest that for a ninja strike :)
