Would've been nice, to get more use out of these 4 re-textured tyrannosaur baby variants.

Player Owned Farm dino babies have the absolute bare minimum of NPC animations, though (idle, walk), so insufficient assets even for a non-combat follower pet. (I suspect some players wouldn't appreciate having a pet that cannot run.)

FWIW, we put everything these bagrada rex variants can do proudly on display in the skilling area. Because these baby rexes are frickin' adorbs.

You say bograda and we currently have bagrada rex in game. Is it a new dino that expands the breeding log or is it a typo lots of places and its actually just bagrada we already have?

I typo'd (and have now corrected) that. I habitually wrote 'bograda' due to working on this update a couple months (for reasons highlighted by Benbored94).

The 5 variants of bagrada rex (including a rename with the original model) are indeed experimental off-breeds of the bagrada rex, with the bograda rex as the ultimate dino-mighty poop-tastic outcome.

Also as Benbored94 speculated, they're exclusive to this skilling area and don't feed back into the Player Owned Farm breeding log. They're produced through Firemaking/Fletching rather than Farming (for reasons which'll hopefully make sense in context tomorrow).

Thanks for the reply stu, glad I "might" keep my trim tomorrow lmao. Was a bit worried since I got rid of my bagradas 1 month ago when I got trim on the old iron.

No worries! There's a loose narrative connection to Prehistoric Potterington, but no Player Owned Farm requirements (not even the PoF tutorial).

Your comp(t) should be safe tomorrow (IMHO comp and MQC should be comp(t) reqs, but this isn't the time and place to die on that hill).

Can you answer if this is tied to the Lore Hunter bit where we found Prehistoric Potterington in the spirit grove with a bunch of produce acting extremely suspicious?

Alas, no. (We needed to keep content requirements to Extinction.) Would've been fun, though!

A good Potterington has a side hustle, though. (A better Potterington has many.)

Wow, never thought a jmod would actually reply to me.. Thanks for the answer, I understand.. Hopefully in the future they will add this.. :)

If you read this, can you answer the following question. (if you know the answer..) > I thought a few years ago, maybe 2-3, there was said something about adding all pets from shops/bank into the pet interface and give them all the ability to override.. Just would be fun to see my jad pet following me (as an override) or other amazing pets that require a lot of time to get..

(reaching 15y cape this year or next).. I am a huge fan of pets/holiday, events/rewards, that's why I ask this..)

--

also, some unlocks like titles or walks for example aren't visible in the wardrobe untill you unlock them, some are visible, before you even unlocked them.. So you can see the preview/animation how it would look if you have it actually unlocked.. Is there a reason for this? :o

Thanks!! Cheers!!

Converting objects to override pets is one of those things where each pet is a unique case to resolve, so pet conversion was gradually being done as part of monthly ninja strikes.

So far this year ninja strikes have had other themes, but hopefully there'll be room to continue with pet conversion in future strikes. Helpful to hear that you particularly want an override of TzRek-Jad, to help with prioritisation.

Don't think I can give a satisfying answer to your wardrobe interface question, but I'd assume there were differences in how certain walks were implemented (perhaps a factor being that the preview didn't exist at the time - titles long predated the wardrobe interface and IIRC were originally a loyalty store thing).

If you find specific walk overrides are not working as you expect, please submit an ingame bug report listing the specific walks, to help with isolating the cause. Many thanks!

Just a thought, but can't you just recycle the T-bone pet for most of the needed animations? Yes, his neck is a little loose in the running animation, but there is some basic groundwork for it, no?

Would love to have these pets as either a reward from PoF (say 100K beans per?) or the new activity.

That's a really good idea! It didn't come up in my original search by reference presumably as Mr T-Bone uses a different (but hopefully similar) rig export.

If the explosions tomorrow are relatively self-contained with minimal casualties, I'll check if combining the bagrada model with T-Bone's anims doesn't do horrible Salvador Dali flesh-melting things.

No guarantees, as I may have my hands full of fletch, fury and flame.

You are right about players not liking pets that cannot run, there were lots of complaints that pets would lag behind and teleport to the player.

I had a look into it, but nah.

https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/uhji3k/berrubbersaurus\_rex/

While they use a similar rig, the T-Bone anims were built around a bunch of dino bones magically bound together, and the visual gags that provides.

So for example, T-Bone's run animation drags the bones out over about twice the dino's usual length. Consequently if used on the regular baby tyrannosaur, their flesh stretches out like it's made of rubber.
