The reason I ask is that I use an autoclicker to keep up with my son on various Roblox games. Normally I err on the cautious side and close everything else on my computer before setting it up, but today I forgot I had RS minimised and was logged into the lobby while autoclicking in Roblox.

Is there any chance I could be banned for this? has anyone been banned in Runescape for using an autoclicker on something else while RS was open in the background?

We'll only ever take action against an account for interactions with our game, and not for simply running a program on your computer.

Honestly it can't even detect autoclicking to train skills on RS. So many players with over 2b xp that I've seen do it and are quite outspoken about it.

We apply an average of 71 offences per day to players who auto-click in RuneScape (not counting OS). Whilst it's something we'd like to more proactively tackle, there's more damaging bots which we need to maintain focus on, but rest assured we do take action. Please report any players you suspect of auto-clicking too, as they will be reviewed on a daily basis.

Ive sent reports in and a tip off email about a certain player that was openly botting spiritual mages/warriors in their psd on 3 accounts and he wasnt banned.

Its very discouraging to report players that abuse the game (and then make real world profit off lf it) then get told to just make more reports.

I understand your frustration, and whilst we do miss some accounts or refuse to take action, this is due to lack of hard evidence. Reporting accounts does keep bringing them to our attention, so when there is enough evidence to support the claim, we can take decisive action.
