The idea is that, if you currently have stone spirits in your inventory and makes any base item of the same matching type, like 5 Banite stone spirits and you make a base Bane platebody, it will be instantly made (the exp for this would likely be reduced).

It basicaly incorporates the smithable salvage idea without having to make another million types of salvages.

Even if they adequated the component count to whats proposed in the blog and balance the stone spirts usage for this, I dont think should affect any +1, +2, +3, +4, +5 simply because of the potential to inject gold quickly in the economy.

So what this achieves?

  • People will be able to smith at the same speed as before the rework for components

  • The Stone spirits gets the smithing use like the drop they replaced and becomes a wanted item, therefore valuable again

  • Its a great excuse for the Smith-X to be reintroduced, even if you dont intend to instantly make all the itens

Items made from bars that require 2 type of ores to be smelted would work with either of the revelant stone spirits. For exemple: Adamant itens could be instantly made with Luminite or Adamant spirits, Elder rune itens would need Light or Dark animica spirits.

With the little programing experience i have, I think* this wouldn't require major changes in the current smithing system, and like for mining if you don't want the effect just don't bring them with you when you go smith.

I think this is a good mechanical concept, although I wouldn't necessarily tie it to stone spirits. I'll think about it.
