6yrs in the making and still won't be complete/fleshed out.

They also were insanely lazy and didnt even want to do what they're doing currently but are due to community backlash.

It really disappoints me that this is the community's interpretation of the poll several months back about the rework.

The truth is that we knew that this was a big project and the time it would take to deliver, which means time taken away from other potential content. When speaking to the community it seemed clear that people only really seemed to care about a few key features, features that we could deliver in much less time.

We wanted to do the full rework. We wanted to spend that time to get it right and really make those changes.

But, this is a game. This is a game with regular updates and where people get something new at a regular pace. By doing this we would reduce the amount of new content that people got.

So what did we do?

We asked the players to decide which mattered more to them. The quicker fix which leads to more varied content, or whether we could take the time to do the rework that we wanted, the massive overhaul of two of the oldest skills in the game.

There was no laziness involved, we (as developers) got the outcome that we wanted. A chance to completely overhaul the skill. A BIG job, but one we wanted to do. But we made sure that YOU got YOUR SAY in the outcome, rather than feeling like you were missing out on content for an update that you only actually cared about a small part of.

It wasn't laziness, it was openness.
