Today's livestream featuring a lecture from Mod Pi on how a core mechanic of the game works was fantastic. 9 years overdue, but fantastic.

Please do more of these Jagex, even if you do 1 per quarter, take a specific topic and provide a 20-30 minute presentation to give us a better understanding of how something works, the ethos behind why it works that way, the potential the thing has, and what considerations could be for the future.

I found this very similar to Mod Timbo's "The next 5 years of skilling" at Runefest a few years ago, and I hope to see more in future.

Topic of discussion: what other things should they do this kind of stream for?

Agreed, but they do have to be careful that to make it clear that their personal feelings and opinions dont necessarily influence the game. It is a consensus among the JMods, not just the feelings of 1 or 2

to make it clear that their personal feelings and opinions dont necessarily influence the game

Pretty much prefaced my thoughts on shields and defensives with this statement.

I wish they’d relax more and be open and honest about their opinions on things. This stream really reminded me of jagex from back in the good old days

I would say I think this very much depends on how much the chat agree with your personal opinion.
