You're literally defeating the purpose of ninja updates if ninja strikes are the reason we aren't getting updates.

It wasn't delayed for a ninja strike, it was delayed because we wanted to run some extra tests to ensure that it was 100% bang on! It just made sense to put it out with the Ninja strike.
I'm happy to admit it was held up by me and this was communicated on a fair few livestreams.
Did you ever consider the last part of the reply where he says it was communicated on a few of the livestreams. That's not no communication.
TBF, I edited the post to add that on after this reply :)
To expand on Mod Ramen's comment - Ninja strikes are planned well in advance and the Grim pages stuff was never our responsibility at the time. We took it onboard because we had the schedule for it where other teams/personnel didn't.
We generally plan ninja strikes with our own big hitters (subjective to each person), so no we're not "holding it back to make it look better" and wouldn't want to do so anyway :)
For the past few months we've been busy helping support the wider RS team with the login lockout situation and delivered the bonus/event weeks and the guardian's gift (wishes) which is why you haven't seen a ninja strike in a while... but we're back to business as usual now!
Hopefully these extra test also include a rework to Solak’s drop table. The pages will undoubtedly go down with this update and the consistent gp/hr at the boss will take a big hit as well.
Maybe take out the stone spirits and add in ascendrii bolts? The game desperately needs another source of hydrix bolt variants/tips
Not exactly a rework, but just a small boost to some of the lesser drops.
But mod mic said that the login lockout thing did not affect updates in the slightest and now you're saying this? So, which one is it?
Without knowing word-for-word what mod Mic had said or intended - i imagine he meant content updates which would be correct. As far as i'm aware, all the major teams (Episodic content, live ops, mobile/core experience) were still working on their own projects the entire time Ninja were doing the event/wishes stuff. Even then we had a couple ninja team members still working on ninja updates in the background.
AND.. even then, in Ninja we made our own schedule adjustments to account for that extra unexpected work. There's a lot of nuance to game development production so to read into it so much would be a rabbit hole.
Can you guys cut the PR bullshit and quit calling it a "login lockout". Just admit defeat and call it a loss of data
It's not PR, "login lockout" is literally what we all referred to it as in-house
