Icthlarin mentions the ID and the EGO when talking about Sliske. Except the ID is your lizard brain, the part of your consciousness that goes after sensory gratification (Think feeding, feeling, and f..love making). The SUPEREGO on the other-hand is your conscience, the part of you that has strict moral guidelines. The EGO is the middle ground between these two that allows you to thrive in society.

For example, if you saw someone you thought was attractive walking down the street, you could run up and lick their face (ID), never look at them because no one wants to talk to random people unprompted (SUPEREGO), or you could compliment their shoes or something and maybe ask for their phone number (EGO).

Something that might make more sense would be to reference all of these terms as puns or acknowledge that Sliske split with his SUPEREGO, leaving the ID to drag the EGO along without a counterweight.

TLDR: Boiling Sliske down to EGO and ID doesn't make sense because of what those words mean.

Referring to someone as "pure id" should not be taken literally as meaning that was the only existent part of their personality. It's just suggestive that the person in question plays up that particular part of their personality to such an extreme it appears to be the only existent part. It makes perfect sense as a colourful description for a character like Sliske.
