[2020] I live in the US. The Runescape website has always appeared in Spanish for me. Lately it started appearing in German. I can't figure out why this is happening.

Hey /u/Insaniaksin! Like another user has said below, you can add `?set_lang=0` at the end of the link to reset it back to english, or click the bottom right flag icon.

As to why it happened, I'm not sure, but here's a possibility: did you maybe click on any RuneScape link at some point, and didn't realise that this link contained a language swap? Example, clicking this link

https://www.runescape.com/game-guide/beginners-guide?set_lang=2

would set your language to French, and then anytime you visit any of our domains, it would be in French, even without the set_language bit. It could be a little more subtle than that too, as we have another way to change the language (which is the more common standard in web), using `/l=3/` (that's a lower case L). Example:

https://www.runescape.com/l=3/game-guide/beginners-guide

That would also set your language to French. And it might be you have a link saved in your browser autocomplete that includes that small language code. Did this help understand the reason?
