I'm slow okay, and this though just hit me all of a sudden.
Would i need to redownload and setup everything all over again (re: a fresh install of the game)?
Or do my settings carry over from the normal client to steam?

You will not need to remake your interface layouts as they are in your savefile
Interesting.... does that mean the cache is going to be stored differently if played through steam? What about my existing cache, I don’t plan on running directly through the client anymore
This means that the cache for steam will indeed be stored elsewhere.
