Having been privy to part of the development of this in my first month, it took some serious work to get the T92 changes delivered. Sometimes what looks smaller on paper is bigger in practice.
I guess the most complexity came from the fact that both T90 and T92 can be dyed and/or augmented, possibly at the same time?
I wouldn't want to QA that lol
I can only speak for some of it as a large piece of the update was handled by Mods Orion (dev) and Camel (qa) before being passed on to Ninja...
But, yeah it's a huge task. There are so many different objects to dev/test for example new, used, broken, augmented, dyed, dyed augmented, augments with item XP and perks etc. and every single 'change' of the systems required re-testing every single one of the above for all of the t90 and or t92 armours.
The changes made here touched so many different systems - invention, upgrades, make-x, smithing, cog toggles and so on so testing needed to be done there to. On top of that, re-testing of existing system to make sure they work as they should was also needed. A much bigger task than on paper for sure.
Why were the armours not brought into line with masterwork and given the "no degradation on Slayer/Reaper task" functionality? Really looking to hear. JMOD position as to why Masterwork is the only T92 set deserving of this perk.
Did some digging with the team on this. It's essentially a case of the individual circumstances around each armour's release rather than intent.
In terms of making changes to the Set Bonus in this Strike, the focus of Strike 7 was improving the viability of use than reshaping purpose which was the big point of feedback to address.
With the Ranged / Magic T92 sets already have the bonus of not degrading in Elite Dungeons, it doesn't really fall under the remit of what we set out to achieve in this Strike. On top of that, scope wise, this update took a ton of work to bring to life - even if the patch list makes it look deceptively more straight forward than it was!
Definitely drop your suggestion into the Dojo as a consideration for a future Strike though. Hope that answers your question.
