Okay. I'm a bit confused how to scale Solak. I'm not a big lorehound so I beseech all the lorehounds to help me.

Where in the terms of power in lore does Solak sit? Game mechanics aside, Is solak a planetary threat? A continental threat? A city wide threat? Is Solak as strong as say Vorago or Telos? Or is Solak just a jobber like say an average green dragon? If whichever is true, Can we say Erethdor and Merethiel are somewhat relative in magical or physical power to Solak? Thanks.

So, Solak is just a being of Anima Mundi, on the same conceptual level as Telos or Vorago. Telos is definitely more powerful, canonically, resting within the Heart of Gielinor. But Solak was there to defend The Lost Grove, because of the power sealed within "the heart of the tree." Guthix found him, and appointed him a Guardian of Guthix, and Seren sent 4 elves to go help out. Two of these elves were Merethiel and Erethdor. Erethdor learned of the heart and wanted it for himself, was defeated, and his mind snapped in two, one half going within Solak and one into the stone Merethiel holds.

I wouldn't put Merethiel or Erethdor in any great power rankings, besides being ancient elves. Solak is originally between Telos and Vorago, in my mind, and his corruption wouldn't do much to affect this.

Both Erethdor and Merethiel tapped into the dark elven magic in the grimoire Erethdor stole. Whilst this doesn't make them powerful, it does give them access to magic we've not seen before... Who knows how powerful ;)

Kinda sad, I hope the lost grove and solak get integrated in the story somehow (maybe with a storymode solak so lorehounds can still experience the fight as backstory?)

Hope so too :D I have plans for a quest but as it's a spare-time thing, it's hard to find the time to make solid progress

It's late here, but wanted to give you at least a basic answer to your question. Solak, Merethiel and Erethdor were the first characters I wrote and even designed, so their stories aren't fleshed out fully within the game and lore so far... I hope to be able to expand more upon them in the future

As someone else mentioned here, Solak is of anima mundi but way less of a threat than say Telos or Vorago just based on his mindset and desire to protect. Powerful, but likely won't ever use it.

Merethiel and Erethdor however... (Pinch of salt with what I had/have planned for their story) These two tapped into darker and forbidden elven magics from the grimoire that Erethdor stole. A type of magic so incredibly dark and comes at a massive cost to the user and the world, by this I mean, to use the magic, the user needs to tap into the earth or nature around them.

Erethdor being the powerhungry elf he is, really took this to another level with his attempt to use the heart of the grove's lifesystem as a sort of 'supercharged attunment' for the darker magics, but was thwarted by his siblings, Merethiel, Saeldor and Faerdhinen, who I hope you get to meet in the future.

Merethiel however, realises what she did when they first tapped into the magic and refuses to use it ever again.

Oooo! A Lost Grove quest, or a fairy/gnome/tirannwn quest?

See it less as a 'lost grove' quest and more of a 'Elven quartet' quest... exploring the 4 elves instead of an area and Solak.
