Healing doesn't - points or make it less likely to get green/white. you cant get green/white if red is up, so you are better off consuming red so you can get white/green for more points/dps.
it is also easier than paying attention to the particles. mining also has trouble as you only have a 1 tick reaction to do it without lossing a mining tick, so you are better off just clicking everytime you gather. kinda defeats the purpose of paying atteniton.

Healing does negatively affect your contribution.
when the OP tested it out, it did not. it also was not removing points for others and i when we tested it out to theory craft minmaxing point gain. maybe there's a bug or something? might be worth looking into.
I can double-check it's working as intended, but there is a reply on that thread that has the correct negative contribution from red nodes.
