Following on from feedback from previous weeks, we've gone into more detail with today's newspost. Let us know what you think or if you have any more suggestions for improvements we could make!

Possible oversight here if they can be handed in to collections or the archaeology bin for chronotes. Has that possibility been accounted for?

Yes. They are quest object and cannot be used for anything other than the mystery.

Not those party hats.

Don't panic.

No fix for mobile? Zooming doesn't work properly anymore for me since last update and also it doesn't show numbers anymore of items in my bank or inventory. Like it just shows the icon for an object but no number of the amount.

Thanks for reporting this - we've seen the reports and we're looking into it.

Isn't the conversion of rare tokens to oddments sort of pathetic? Although some players might've accrued a lot rare tokens they've typically been given in rather small quantities and would take a long time to get any reasonable amount

As a bit of added context, the ratio of 10:1 also applies to the Rare Items Oddments pricing - so something that was 7k Rare Item Tokens will now be 700 Oddments.

The benefit of the centralisation is you can now choose to chase Rare Items with your Oddments (and get them from more sources) or not, rather than getting a currency that may or may not be of interest for you.

We'll be monitoring your feedback as always, but hopefully that provides some insight to the ratio.

The problem is the absolute lack of heads up. What if people were on the fence before on the older rare item rewards. I avoided buying some I didn’t like because I was hoping for new rares. However if you had told us the removal and conversion rate I would have spent every token I could. It’s already extremely annoying to buy useful items from the oddment shop since you added the daily limit.

Based on some of the feedback this morning, the team is going to get the other items from the Rare Item Token shop into the Oddments Store.

We don't have an ETA to share right now until it's all figured out, but we'll let you know when we can lock a date.

Yes, the prices in the Oddments store is EXACTLY the issue. I'd been saving up my Rare Item Tokens until I had enough to buy out all of the Current Rares and New Rares (I already owned all the Limited Rares) using the random option which gives a 20% discount. The day I hit that number (I was about 2000 off) I was going to spend all my Rare Item Tokens. Now, not only am I unable to purchase the Current Rares until they are added, I've lost the 20% discount from using the random option.

We'll pass that feedback to the team as well - hold onto those Oddments for now as we're bringing back the other Rare Items in as soon as it's possible based on this morning's feedback. We'll see if the random discount option is likely to be included in that.

To appease those frustrated with the Rare Item Token update, is it possible to add the "random rare" option at a 20% discounted oddment rate as they were in the rare items token store for those tokens? The conversion rate to new cost is the exact same as it was before the update. The only issue people have is the inability to buy previous rare item token items that have been removed, and choosing a random item for a lower price.

We're looking into both of these things based on this morning's feedback.

I don't like the fact that certain rare token items won't be brought back unless if there is demand. How are you going to know what is in demand? Polls?

Why not just list them all or have them rotate stock. Not just not make them available anymore. Hopefully the plan will introduce something but I hate when items are locked out like this.

That's no longer the plan - we're going to bring them in as soon we can based on this morning's feedback.

Could you mention that somewhere? The way it's listed with other things that are mentioned in the newspost implies there will also be a section regarding that in the newspost itself.

It's under the Community section tab, but that's good feedback for us to consider - thank you!

Anybody figure out what the unlock from Vault of Shadows is yet?

We're being vague for good reasons on this one. Having the Miniquest completed will matter later.

We've been providing our updates in the News Post so far this week. We're going to try that as a way of keeping any post-Update updates together and see how it goes.

The idea that "the conversion ratio [] is unfortunately something we are unable to retroactively change" is utter horseshit. You have backups (or you're even more incompetent than we all think you are), pull the values from a backup and credit people's accounts an amount of oddments that isn't outright theft, and doesn't have a cap.

If it was possible, it would be the solution we'd take right now - it's clear we got the conversion ratio very wrong and this would be the best way to address that.

For this issue, it's unfortunately not feasible from a technical perspective.

Make a newspost. Ahead of time.

We will be getting info onto the site for sure - we're confirming what we can do and timelines by which we can do them as soon as possible.
