There were a huge number of hidden commits this past month, while the actual update is... "smol." In previous devblogs, the hidden commits were briefly referenced as somewhat of a "surprise", and not standard practice for FP to hide what they're working on.

After an underwhelming update like this (no significant performance improvements!), it would be nice to get a hint from /u/garryjnewman or /u/HelkFP

If you google "rust console version", there are a couple of reddit threads indicating that FP is actively working on a Rust console version by outsourcing/contracting with Double Eleven. Why is this being hidden, and are the majority of the hidden commits related to console development?

And if the hidden commits are related to the console ports, is this month's update what we can expect in terms of content going forward?

From the (old) roadmap:

Console Versions

At some point, when the game makes sense and has very little confusing elements and performance issues, deploy console versions.

Does FP really feel like the game is in a state where it makes sense to commit development towards releasing a console version?
