This is why the TC system works the way it does, to keep you logging in every day to refill it or risk losing all of your progress. Once you log in, chances are you are going to do more than just spend the 10-15 minutes on the quick 'farm run' you originally intended.
The server wipes are just a convenient feature to hide how little content there actually is in the game by making everyone regrind for the same basic things every week/month to start the dopamine-reward progression-cycle all over again. Once you are invested, you tend to keep playing. It also reinforces "restarting from nothing" as one of the game's weakest primary game-play loops.
There's also the rather obvious draw of sociopaths being able to stomp on people's sandcastles. This is supported by both the raiding mechanics themselves, as well as the weapon recoil system allowing the sweats to commit their weapon scripts to muscle memory and avoid being banned unlike anyone else exploiting the same system.
