I recently got banned from Official Facepunch Servers for Abusive Chat - following that, I really got frustrated because the context of the Situation wasnt taken into consideration before the ban was finalized.
Lets Just say, somebody is really getting on your nerves, because he keeps swearing at you. So you swear back after being heavily damaged mentally. Depending on how hard your comeback was, you suddenly get banned for Abusive Chat, while the Person that made you do it, stays fine.
In my case, somebody asked ''What is the N-word'' and in my quick dumb thinking ( I was busy with fighting other players ) I just straight up told him the N-word. Boom not even 30 seconds later, I got banned for Abusive Chat - I didnt Insult anyone. I didnt swear at anyone. I just simply told him with an educational indication of what it meant.
After writing appeal after appeal I always got the same answer: You said it and now you regret it. Your Problem, but not ours. While Context still wasnt considered.
And I want that to change. I want that people with a history of Abusive chat wont get banned but rather just Chat-banned or Voice-Chatbanned - indicating that they can't harm anyone mentally ( if the case ) anymore. Also, before finalizing the ban, context of the Situation and the choice of words should be considered by the Admins.
Dear Rust Community - Let's make a change! For all of those who got banned without Context!
