Friends, fellas, members i gotta have to remind you of some things:

No matter how intense you love or hate a game, please keep in mind that there are always people behind the curtains working their asses off to make this game as good as possible. By all means i do understand that some of you have a certain level of frustration, because for whatever reason you are not able or willed to purchase the new arctic set, i get it.

Please keep in mind that this item does not have some absolute op stats or makes you invulnerable against damage. It does feature some mechanics which you do not have to like, no, but yet its not like you can buy explosives from the shop. The Arctic Suit has some advantages but by no means makes the game unfair to a level where i'd call it pay to win. But thats my own evaluation of the new hazmat skin and i gotta admin I'm a biased 10.000+ hours fanboy. You dont have to like all changes Facepunch introduces and raising your voice is important but...

...what i'm trying to boil this thread down to is that you please should take a minute or two to think about your phrasing in this reddit and that it may affect people making this game. I have to do so aswell as i'm no exception to this. Just give your post an additional minute the next time before you hit the button.

I'm sure only a few of you are playing Rust for long enough to know that 5 years ago, Helk went into ER because of suspected heart problems shortly before an upcoming release of a patch and the team yet pushed it like nothing happened. No matter why this happened. Criticism is important and needed so we as a wonder- and hateful community can show what we like and what not. But i dont want to induce such things because once a fp staff member shows up in here all he sees is hate.

There are only a handful games which cater their players with the amount of content we are allowed to enjoy with Rust. Every. Single. Month. Again. That beeing said, i'm sure that for many of you Rust will still be one of the best, if not the best game available made by an outstanding studio. Thank you for playing Rust with me and reading this text!

Thanks for the kind words Nordee and an additional huge thank you for your continued bug reports from Staging.

While we're not robots, we as game developers need to be open to criticism, whether the criticism is beneficial or not we need to always learn and listen from the Rust community, we need to try to balance our vision of the game with that of the Rust community. If we ignored the Rust community and never addressed concerns, it's my belief Rust would likely be in its grave by now.

Reddit at times can have a loud minority, sometimes the most upvoted opinions here are greatly different to that of other Rust communities. We're going to make mistakes from time to time and we'll learn from that and take that experience with us as we move forward.

We're going do stuff that makes zero sense, sometimes we're going push the boundaries a little and experiment which is going upset people. Be sure to tell us when you think we've messed up but also be open to us to experiment from time to time.

Staff do read concerns, compliments and criticism posted on /r/playrust and often discussed internally, we're watching and listening.
