Context for anyone who hasn't been following the news for the upcoming patch:

Bandit Camp will have a new shop which will sell minicopters and scrap helis for 1500 and 3000 scrap respectively, among other things (such as vehicle parts). Obviously these prices are subject to change but I would hate to see them start from 1500 and 3000. I believe they should be cheap.

Here's why:

- People who are willing to spend 1500 or 3000 scrap will be the ones who have already reached endgame in a wipe (T3, full metal/hqm gearsets) and are looking to keep getting more and more rich to dominate the server. They do this by raiding bases, which obviously is easier when you have access to a heli. And if they're not in the mood for raiding, if they want to grind oil rig, they would have the upper hand in any situation, whether they're doing it themselves or countering, therefore putting lower tier players at a bigger disadvantage. That's not what you want.

- Alternatively, people might not buy them at all, because who wants to lose 1500/3000 scrap to a group of nakeds who boosted themselves to your roof to steal your heli. Which makes the whole idea completely useless and brings helis out of the game.

The only upside I see in this change is bringing helis out of wipe day.

Solution:

Make the prices cheaper, no more than 500 scrap for a scrap heli. People will have easier access and helis still won't be as prominent in wipe day, because: priorities. Make some monuments less accessible for minicopters. (add sam sites to some monuments or anything that can potentially slow down the copters). There are tons of creative ways to switch up a meta besides putting an absurd price tag on it.

Prices have already been adjusted to 750 for mini and 1250 for transport.

Just to address some of your comments.

will be the ones who have already reached endgame in a wip

The intent is to force mini copters to late mid-game / end game, this should hopefully make ground-based vehicles more appealing.

Alternatively, people might not buy them at all, because who wants to lose 1500/3000 scrap to a group of nakeds who boosted themselves to your roof to steal your heli.

This is part of the core problem with the current meta, players are not protecting their helis because they've invested little to no time and effort in acquiring them. Players should look at protecting their vehicles with garages or other forms of defence.
