11s studios and today we're bringing you the
12s update number two trains and nuclear
15s power to you all so you can enjoy it
17s we're gonna be doing something a little
18s different with the patch notes and the
20s feature highlights we're gonna be going
22s on a bit of an adventure as we tell you
24s about what's coming so in the spirit of
26s trains and nuclear power snoot and I are
28s gonna take a train to a nuclear power
31s plant now if you're not really
32s interested in the adventure there'll be
34s a link in the cards up above and in the
36s description below to just the patch
37s notes website so you can just read
39s everything there but we think this
40s adventure is going to be a lot of fun
41s and I hope you want to join us and check
45s out a nuclear power plant hopefully we
46s don't know if they're gonna let us in

62s so the first major feature that's being
64s added in this update is going to be the
66s trains of course aka the electric
69s locomotive so of course it runs on
70s electricity which means you don't have
72s to add fuel to it it's really fast it's
74s really fun to drive around it has a high
76s capacity you can keep adding freight
78s cars to it as much as you want
79s so it's it's super super useful in in
82s that sense there is one downside however
84s is that it is expensive you have to
87s create all of the train track pieces
88s yourself and they're expensive
90s but in the long run it's usually worth
91s it trains need to stop somewhere of
93s course so we've also added train station
95s the cool thing about train stations is
96s they can be powered with electricity
98s they then send electricity down the
100s train tracks which power the trains but
102s they also power other train stations and
104s then if you have you know another train
106s station at an outpost you can then use
108s the power from the train station to
109s power the outpost so you don't need like
111s another cold generator or anything like
113s that so it's really cool you can think
115s of the train tracks kind of like power
116s cables the other thing is you could also
118s name the train stations of course to
120s make things easier when you program the
121s automation for your trains so for your
123s train to transport cargo you need
124s freight cars and so you can add as many
127s as you want to a train and then to load
129s and unload those freight cars you need
130s freight ducting stations that are
132s attached to your train stations and so
134s if you have ten freight cars you can
136s have ten docking stations and they will
139s all load and unload when your train
140s stops at a train station but perhaps you
142s don't once you load and unload all of
143s your freight cars at every train station
145s and so what we have these empty
147s platforms that you can put between
149s docking stations so for example if you
151s have ten freight cars at one station you
153s may have five docking stations which
155s load and unload the first five freight
157s cars but at the next station you put
159s five empty platforms and then five
161s docking stations so that at that station
163s it load and unloads the last five
165s freight cars so you have a lot of
167s control on how you want to do this and
169s you can get pretty creative with it so
170s we've also added switches to the game
171s and what they do is they split the train
173s tracks so that different trains can take
175s different routes and so after you
176s program your trains they automatically
178s figure out the switches that they can
180s reach their destination
194s so we've also revamped the endgame areas
196s the red jungle the red bamboo fields and
198s the swamp and I'll leave that up to you
200s guys to check it out yourselves so we
209s have some new upgraded buildings
210s available the miner mark 3 is now
213s available and it is twice as efficient
215s as the mark 2 and the conveyor belt mark
217s 5 and the conveyor lift mark 5 are also
219s available and they transport up to seven
221s hundred and eighty parts per minute so
228s you can now combine bauxite with silica
230s to create aluminium which will open up a
232s whole new world of possibilities like
234s soda cans

244s and so now here we are at the last part
246s of the journey we're driving from
248s Gothenburg 50 minutes to the power plant
250s and schnitz little schnitz a little baby

255s don't people kick the tires and that a
257s thing if you kick a tire and it's like a
260s good car I don't know this works
277s so believe it or not I am here at ring
279s house nuclear power plant and that is
282s because of course we are adding nuclear
283s power to the game the nuclear power in
285s satisfactory creates massive amounts of
287s power but the trade-off is nuclear waste
290s which you need to find a solution to
291s store and move away because it is
294s harmful to your player there will be
295s hazmat suits for you so you can hold
297s things but that won't solve the mass
300s amounts of waste that you may create the
301s input for nuclear power plants will be
303s fuel rods of course graphite tipped fuel
307s rods what it's cheaper money doesn't
310s grow on trees all right and so that's
313s the end of our adventure today I hope
315s you really enjoyed it we did not think
317s that we would be able to film or get
318s near the nuclear power plant but one of
321s the employees there was gracious enough
322s to show us a safe location that we could
324s film because it is a protected place
326s that you are not allowed to film so
