Hello everyone!
Love is in the air, and thanks to the wonderful support from the HiRez team, we're gonna have an event this Valentine's Day to reflect that. Let's get into it.
What is this event about?
Valentine's Day 2021 Event is an event where you'll be matching with random reddit users and playing games with them to earn rewards!
When is the event taking place?
The event is taking place from 00:01 UTC to 23:59 UTC on Valentine's Day 14.02.2021..
What do I need to do before the event?
First, you need to link your reddit account with your Smite account. This process shouldn't take long and will be fairly quick, and is required to participate in all the future events.
To start, click on this link and just press send message, and S.T.A.R. will respond to you within a minute! Then just follow the instructions she gives you and you'll be done! If, for some reason, you aren't able to link your account, follow the help link S.T.A.R. provides! Linking your account is a one-time event, and it'll share between events! You DO NOT need to provide any account info besides your Smite username and DO NOT send a message with your email or passwords. Those aren't required for the bot and is strictly against the TOS!
On the day of the event
The event is now active!
Ready to play some games? Send this message to S.T.A.R.! Once you've sent the message, she'll offer you an option to queue with a specific server.
Once you do that, you'll get a response from S.T.A.R. saying she found you a partner to play with! Then, either contact that person on reddit or add them in game in Smite, and queue to play matches with them to earn some points.! Don't like the partner you got? Report them here or request a new partner by queueing again.
Points and rewards
As mentioned before, you earn points from following sources:
1 💖 point for each match played with an assigned partner. That means that you must be on the same team as your partner, fighting opposite sides does not count!
1 extra 💖 point if you win the match you're playing!
1 extra 💖 point if you play with any skins from the Valentine's Day Chest! You can also use skin boosters!
1 extra 💖 point if the match you are playing is a 2v2 match of the day that will be available on Valentine's Day!
That means that you can get up to 4 points per match! By collecting a certain amount of points, you'll unlock the following rewards:
By collecting 5 💖 points you will unlock a limited Valentine's Day flair on the subreddit!
By collecting 10 💖 points you will get a 'Candy Hearts' Jump Stamp code in the game!
The pair that collects the most 💖 points will be crowned Valentine's Day King and Queen here on the leaderboard, and will each receive a 400 gem code! If two or more pairs played the same amount, the winners will be decided randomly.
Rules
While this event isn't an official HiRez event, some rules still apply. Players breaking the following rules may be excluded from any future participation:
Constantly requesting partner rematches to match with a friend or a specific person
Matching with a partner but then declining in-game requests, and then requesting other matches
Matching with a partner and queuing on different servers from the ones you queued in to cause lag
Matching with a partner but declining queues, not selecting gods, or intentionally AFKing or trolling in the game
Matching with a partner but being abusive and/or harassing them or other players
Important note
When linking or playing game, make sure your profile isn't hidden! The matches won't count if it is.
