The power of adding glyphs onto a small group of specifically chosen items essentially forces you to buy the associated item. Their power late game cannot be understated - those that buy the item (and can fit said item into their build) get an additional boost that other gods/builds simply do not have access to.

At late game when everyone has all 6 items, gods/builds that do not include glyph-able items will not have access to an additional buff, thus mathematically putting those gods/builds behind. There's no adaptability here: buy a glyph-able item or lose out on a decent chunk of damage/survivability.

There aren't glyphs for several subclasses of gods. Which item & glyph do you buy on an aa assassin? Are you just now forced to build either jotunn's or go crit?

The glyphs are definitely a fun idea to shake up the item builds but in its current state, this flaw is more than obvious. This goes against their decisions in the past seasons, like for example when they removed boots to prevent the exact same problem of "mandatory" items.

Adding only 5 glyphs seems like a mistake, either add to most of the items or to none. Personally, it's a super fun idea that should be expanded upon and not cut, but with how past unique ideas went, I wouldn't be surprised if it was cut from the game eventually.
