In case I get emotional, I won't bury the lede:
@proletariat_inc, the company we started nearly a decade ago, is joining @blizzard_ent to work on the @warcraft team.
To say I’m excited would be an understatement.
Most importantly right now, some thanks are in order: 🧵 1/11 http://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video_thumb/FWlip5OWIAEKrVv.jpg
Thank you, Proletariat team, both past and present. It literally couldn’t have been done without you and working with people I loved is what kept me going. 4/11
Thank you, Players. For the fierce Hug the Sloth leaderboard race. For playing World Zombination and writing hilarious reviews. For keeping me hip with the youths via Streamline/Stream Legends. And for Spellbreak?… Y’all were just the best. 3/11
Thank you, Warcraft team. For building a game and team that I’ve been a fan of for nearly two decades (or more if we go back to WC!). Special thanks to @JHight_Gamer, @watcherdev, and @qwik for trusting us to work alongside you and the team. 8/11
Thank you, Friends. For writing what were most assuredly 100% honest reviews of our games when they had none. For letting me scream into virtual pillows and just being there. Extra shout out to the Slack game devs for giving me a second peer group. 7/11
Thank you, Luck. I’m not so foolish as to think this is all attributable to our hard work and gumption. Serendipitous connections and timing played a non-trivial part in keeping our heads above water. 6/11
At some point, I’ll do a thread with the history/storytelling of the company filled with goofy anecdotes and pictures, but for now, much like we’ve been doing for the past decade, it’s time to get to work. Thanks again, everyone! 11/11
And finally, thank you, co-founders. Joe, @diannuzzelli, @dogles, and @sjsivak. I can’t imagine doing this with anyone else. And if I’m honest, I’d do it again with you in a heartbeat. 10/11
Thank you, L and J. How you both put up with me and this mad pursuit, I’ll never know, but I love you both to the moon and back. (Also my mother because she wouldn’t let me live it down if I didn’t include her.) 9/11
@rklau @sjsivak For all of the advice and help from you and GV over the years, not dealing with crappy curtains is maybe the most practical day to day :P
Both Twitter AND Reddit telling me to not use them today as an intentional "feature" is quite a strategy. July's looking like a great time to pull back further on socials.
