[2020] The game feels dead?

Hi,

I know how the title sounds, but hear me out. I've heard that spellbreakers fully released recently so i gave it a try. After a few games i found myself grinding it till i was falling asleep. Of course i've encountered some bugs, hitbox issues, balancing issues etc. and i can look past that, but the one thing i hate the most is playing with bots. Don't know if its a region issue (i'm from EU) or a level issue (i'm level 13), but most of my games start with 10-20 players then the rest is filled with bots. It really sucks to see a bot walking backwards completely ignoring you. I'd rather get something like dynamic gas where you spawn on a much smaller map, with zone already around it so you can find players faster instead of filling the game with junk bots. Can someone with more experience share his thoughts on this? I'd rather get absolutely destroyed by people that had to put a lot of hours into the game than killing AI.
PS: Most of the time i play the game, i play it past 5PM CET time.
