@EricaFails Some kids at my school stole the Hamburgler statue from a McDonald's on a class trip and we had no internet or TV or whatever back then! As a bonus, it gotten written up in the paper with the headline: "Hamburgler gets hamburgled."

@EricaFails At the risk of victim blaming, it was kind of asking for it... they planted it on the school's front lawn as a greeting to visitors even! So polite and welcoming!

@jmarieray Yeah that's a whole pickle for sure. To keep myself sane in thinking about them, I separate that part out from the thought experiment. There's a ton of really gross behavior around them both in input and output.

@Tocelot @nabeel I partially disagreed with Nabeel here. I like the idea at the ecosystem level of "collectors -> casuals", but I think there's a good opportunity starting with the casuals who find the game and then draw them into being collectors and introducing them to the ecosystem.

@ckurdziel @nabeel We were talking about NFTs as "captured experiences" the other day, sort of like the Assassin's Creed stored memories of a raid or run or what have you but that gets extra weird in terms of portability.

@AndrewGotow Thus the thought experiment! It's just a different way of poking at things that we haven't gotten to try yet. :)

@ckurdziel @nabeel Yeah there's a whole wacky world that opens up when you get into the "pure" social side of this in games.
