[2020] Anyone else having server connection issues when playing on Switch?

Me and my boyfriend have downloaded the game yesterday and we are absolutely loving it! I’m totally new to battle royale games and shooters so there is a huge learning curve for me, but the quick games and practice area make it beginner friendly.

Last night and this morning however, I’ve not been able to connect to a single game when I party up with my boyfriend. He’s playing on PC and I’m on Switch. I get a server connection error as soon as the game is about to start.

I have never been able to load into the lobby before a game, I normally load in when party’s select spawn spots on maps or when we’re already dropping. This can be an issue as I’ll spawn in a different location to my party if they select a different spawn location which can be pretty frustrating as I have no control over load times.

But now I haven’t been able to connect to a single game. I’ve queued up for maybe 10 games and I’ve had a server error on every single one.

Is this an issue for other people too? Does anyone know of a possible fix? I’d love to be able to play this game some more but I’ve not been able to.
