After a work-filled weekend, seems you devs are good for something after all.
We’re rolling out another hotfix today that includes the following:
- Fixed a number of client crashes for PC builds (Steam/EGS). This is an optional client update that went out last night.
- A few server crashes have been fixed.
We’re also continuing to iterate on matchmaking (and will continue to do so after the holidays but we wanted to get this out before the break as a temporary measure) and will be implementing the following changes:
- In regions outside of North America, ALL platforms will now matchmake together (except Playstation and Xbox players who have disabled crossplay).
- For Mage Rank 23 and higher matches, all platforms will matchmake together, including North America.
- Players on US-west may matchmake with US-east players.
- For Playstation and Xbox players who have crossplay disabled, all players at Mage Rank 2+ will matchmake together. That is to say there is no bucketing by MR.
- All BR matches will now eventually start even if there is only 1 player. (The remainder will be filled with bots.)
Again, I want to stress these are only temporary to get us through the holiday and we’ll be revisiting them after we get back in 2021.
