Re: Recovery, in addition to the interesting options you mentioned, could also see it becoming "instantly heal last damage taken, every X seconds". So if you take heavy burst damage, you get the opportunity to completely negate if by avoiding further damage for a period of time.

To be honest, Recovery is probably one of the first Talents that I'd swap out for something completely new in a future patch. It's too similar to Thirsty in effect, and I think Thirsty is more fun from a gameplay perspective (though it's not too useful in Clash, I imagine...)
