I have a background in FPS games. My biggest jam of all time was Halo 3, then Destiny. I downloaded Spellbreak (SB) over the weekend after having missed most of the BR genre up to this point playing RTS's. I picked up SB because I'd seen it a while back and thought it looked neat. I stay pretty in touch with games that are out and such, so I was actually a bit surprised I didn't know it was already out. I didn't follow the game, but I would have assumed I would see it pop up Steam given that I play a lot of fantasy style games. Anyways, the game is absolutely fantastic. The movement feels amazing and the combat feel extremely dynamic with lots of counter play. The counter play of gauntlets having different strengths and weaknesses beyond just fire rates and bullet spray plays well, and the rune system gives you lots of on-the-fly options. Overall I'm really impressed with the combat and mobility, along with RPG build aspects.
I would love to see a few more game modes added. Domination is fun and all, but TDM is a classic that feels missing. Other ideas might also include a skill swap mode where the different skills you get from your class might swap with skills from other classes, for instance Frostborne might get Viscosity as it's level 1 skill instead of Alacrity. Capture the Banner also seems like a no brainer but this could be expanded to see something closer to castle vs castle and you have teams of 20 or so sieging each other castles and perhaps there's some PVE elements as well. Also, I would love to see some sort of mastery skin for the classes for once you hit max level in a particular class. I know that seems like sh*t that vets wouldn't care about, but it feels like something that's sorta just missing IMO. Even as a 31yo gamer I as a bit bummed to look down the skill tree and not see some sort of dope firewalker/elemental badass sitting at the end of the unlock tree waiting for me.
Edit: Shower thought after posting on the skins, I would also be completely willing to pay for a Pyromancer pass that unlocked skins as I progressed the skill tree as well that upgraded the outfit of my original skin. I think that would also be neato.
