@Tocelot The high profile evangelizing / messaging isn't helping either to the point where it's mostly poisoned not only gamer circles but in developer circles too. It's hard to find rational conversations around it without immediately descending into chaos.
@Tocelot To some extent, the medium is definitely to be blame and it's "infected" the discussion that happens in more closed places. Finding the killer "app" of a pro would go a long way into getting people to even start talking about building them (in traditional game dev at least).
@Tocelot Most of my generally professional game dev discord/slacks have had to either relegate discussion to a very tightly controlled channel or ban it entirely because it brings out "strong feelings" and since no one can point to something doing it well, it just withers.
