@oSnagaholic We're sorry many of you have to queue. It might not look like it on the surface, but this is a huge improvement for the servers. Instead of the servers just crashing for everyone, we're getting some players in and handling a capped number of players. We are slowly upping that cap

@harrybalsagna18 We've had some breakthroughs internally with our servers leading up to tonight, but we definitely need to test those improvements. This is what we're doing now with the current #SplitgateBeta.
@fuzzytwotoes We know it's far from ideal, so we deeply appreciate your patience. Our ultimate goal is to let as many people in as possible without crashing, obviously.
Note #2: There's no need to hit the retry button if it says you're in the queue. When the queue is ready to let you in, it'll do so automatically without hitting retry. If you leave the login screen or get in the game but then leave, you will be back at the bottom of the queue.
We have disabled 4v4 Ranked due to various reported issues. We will be fixing these bugs by tomorrow.
Casual matchmaking, custom games, and everything else in the game are unaffected by these issues and are staying up.

This has already been an EXTREMELY helpful stress test, thank you everyone! For the remainder of the night, we will be taking down matchmaking, but you will still be able to host/join Custom Games and Races.
Most importantly, apologies for the long queue times. 🙏 We are blown away by how many of you have been patiently waiting!
As an FYI: We are using a first-in, first-out queue system, which means the players waiting the longest get in first/next.
The servers have been rebooted and we are ramping up player intake again. Reminder that it's Custom Games only for now.

- fixed "lost items" bug
- Redis database 30x boost
- server and game crashes way down

@synth_wz @marshyg_05 We understand it's frustrating, believe us we're frustrated too, but scaling like this is typically something companies do with a large team over many months. We don't claim to be flawless, but we are working our absolute hardest to improve the situation and expand our team.
@ctroooo @insiege_ The issue is exponential growth. We went from 400 to 4k to 70k to well over 100k. We've now had well over 2 million downloads. Our servers improve linearly but our playerbase grows exponentially.
We can't emphasize enough how valuable our BETA continues to be for us to improve servers
We understand it is frustrating. If you want to avoid this frustration we urge you to wait for full release

@SaturnDzn We totally get this sentiment and we don't take it as hate (nor should anyone). For us, it's a debate of pros vs cons whenever we take down the servers. When we do take them down, it's because the pros of installing long-term fixes is better than short-term bandage fixes. In a🥜
@DrAze_MaGikkZ We've had 300 concurrent players for 2 years. We were expecting 5-10k concurrent max. We've now had well over 100k concurrent players and are really proud of what our small engineering team has accomplished in 2 weeks.
