I'd like to point out a few excerpts from Steam's Discussion Rules and Guidelines:
Originally posted by "Steam Discussion Rules and Guidelines": "When providing feedback, posting information, or discussing a product in Steam, whether it’s negative or positive, please make sure you are being relevant, constructive and polite. Developers take feedback from all kinds of sources into account, even though they may not have the time to respond to every post or question."
Providing feedback is good, and we want to foster an environment where people can post their opinions, but being relevant, constructive, and polite is paramount.

Originally posted by "Steam's Discussion Rules and Guidelines": Do not do any of the following:
  • Flame or insult other members

We will not tolerate people who are rude to forum member, moderator, or dev alike. To summarize, please check your language/attitude before posting. If you have to second guess it, make those changes and keep your posts contextually valuable to a discussion without insulting the intended recipient of your message.

On Forum Moderation Moderators will moderate, it's their job. Sometimes those actions can be questionable, and I encourage you to take that up with a moderator, an admin, or even the community manager. If you come to me with an issue that I can't solve (even if it's about me) I will elevate it up the proper channels of communication so that the discrepant mod actions can be looked at.

Do not make threads/posts about moderation, let the moderators moderate, and any problems/complaints should be taken up with that moderator, or elevated to the community manager if you're not satisfied with moderation.

Community staff are on IRC often. if you have a problem, you can always hop in the #starbound channel and PM any of us with any issues that you have (please be respectful when doing so) and if it's an issue that a moderator can't handle then they'll pass it onto the community manager, so you don't have to do double the footwork to have your issue looked at.
