I wasn’t sure if TFT devs ever lurk this sub, I think Mort does? I felt the need to give credit where it is due. Set 6 was easily the most fun I have had in TFT. Sure there were some tilting games and some bad luck. At the end of the day though, augments have been my favorite mechanic by a long shot.

I started in set 3 but was an extremely casual player. Played more in set 4, but the fate mechanic felt way too RNG. can’t remember much of 4.5 or if I even played it. Set 5 came along and I tried my hand at competitive play. This set felt very “meta game” to me. It felt like the same comps were winning every game I was in. The new items didn’t impress me much either. Didn’t really play much of set 5.5 at all. Set 6 came along and I was excited to get back into TFT. I loved the class designs and loved the augment mechanic. It made almost every game feel different. It also felt quite less RNG than normal. Sometimes you might get a full set of bad augments but most of the time your choice mattered the most. The blame shifted more to the player rather than RNG.

Just played my first 6.5 game and I love the new characters and I’m excited to try the new classes. Thanks dev team, you have worked hard to bring the best set ever.
