In what scenario does picking "fully adapted" make sense?

I tried to play this augment today because we got 2 components galaxy and I already had 2 tears and cloak on bench. I started game with 3x adaptive helm gragas and he was fun to watch for some time untill mid game.

For me this augment makes the most sense for ap frontliner so I eventually went for 3x adaptive helm zac and 3x Illaoi.

I hit 2 star ilaoi and I tought that she will be pretty op with 6 bruisers and this itemization, but she was rather underwhelming with tanking around 10k and dealing 4-5k dmg.

Rest of comp was for edm because I tought I can synergize lux ult with zac extra ap and itemized lux for atacking backline. I finished 5th.

I guess that kayn also can be interesting weilder of such itemization. Any others?

I am playing in diamond IV, right now, and curios if its even possible to make something out of fully adapted augment?
