I keep seeing posts on "the update' but my game hasn't updated yet, it might be because I'm on vacation and the internet sucks but I'm still a bit confused by this

While the holiday is the more jam-packed time of content for us, it is because we do see higher levels of players, as well as higher levels of engagement from players. Considering a large portion of the player base has been in the game for a while, we need to ensure there is content and goals for them to achieve is they choose to. We do encourage all players to engage with the content that is most interesting to them, whether it be co-op, to randoms, to ranked. We try to ensure there are content offerings for all players.
While yes, engaging with events and campaigns will reward you with rewards (funny how that works lol) please recall these content aspects are not critical to enjoying or doing well in the game. Some of my best games have been in your bog-standard Tech Tree ships and through the development of skill. We try to ensure that all ships are balanced on release so that we do not have OP ships locked behind pay/grind walls. We have made mistakes with this in the past, but as a whole this year we have not discontinued any released ships, and hope to continue this streak into 2020.
If it is feeling like a job, take a step back and remember why we all started here to begin with. Shooting massive guns from representations of naval history.
Fem,
But from what I've heard from the update, do I even want to?
Oh, did you read of some issues somewhere?
People don't like the new kingdom color palets much. I personally see no issue with it, but some really do.
ah, pushed new patch yesterday with color adjustments
