If you're experiencing this problem, know that you're not alone. It's also not actually a problem and is 100% intended. In this post, I'm going to explain why it's happening and what you need to do to resolve it.----For a long, long time now, many players have been asking Crema for more box space. Breeders especially didn't have enough room for their breed stock and their own personal tems to play with, and as the number of available tems increased, this got tighter and tighter.

During the Arbury cycle, Crema listened to us and *doubled* our total box space. There's a catch, however. It's locked behind a side quest, and the greyed out boxes in your PC are the new ones that got added, and you need to do the sidequest to get them back. It's a very easy one, however, so don't worry about it. This sidequest is designed to be done progressively as you play the story, and you don't have to do anything special.----

  1. First, head out to Brical del Mar in Deniz. For those of you that don't remember this place, it's the first town you reached after leaving home, grabbing your starter and beginning your journey. To get there, take the airship to Deniz and head south. In the Temporium, you'll find an NPC that wants to talk to you about box space. Talk to them.
  2. Follow this NPC to the next location, enter the Temporium, and talk to them there. Your quest log, displayed on the right-side of your screen should update at each step of the quest. Each time you talk to the NPC, your boxes with progressively unlock. It should go in the following order: Deniz-Omni-Tucma-Kisiwa-Cipanku-Arbury.
  3. Once you've talked to them enough times, the quest will be complete. You'll have unlocked all your boxes and be able to access all of your tems! You can now get back to playing the game as expected!

Imagine adding an additional barrier to returning players being able to dive back in and enjoy the game. It's pure lunacy. The frequency of posts raising this as an issue shows how much of an annoyance it is.

Server space does not come out of nowhere, and we made the barrier as easy to overcome as possible, with the quests having no battles and requiring little effort given there's now teleport. We explained why the quest is the way it is and specifically went into why we had to do it this way to be able to provide more space free of charge for everyone. I can totally understand it being annoying, but damaging words like stupid or lunacy are really out of place here

I can't imagine tems take up much storage space. Even if all 500K players had the max amount of tems I don't see how I could use that much space.

They do, actually. There's a ton of data associated with each Temtem and a ton of Temtem on every account.
