[2021] Will the breeding system stay the same?

Hello everyone,

I've been playing the updates very slowly since EA came out, so I am not technically new, but I never got into the game beyond just main story and side quests. I finally wanted to give the rematches and such a try, so I wanted to get some perfect tems. After looking around, it seems breeding is not only tedious but also crazy expensive, and so is buying eggs from breeders on the Discord.

I'm very used to breeding perfect IV Pokemon, and seeing the fertility and DNA system is a bit jarring to me, but maybe I'm also not understanding it. It seems incredibly tedious and anti-user friendly, with gender RNG and such being particularly atrocious.

I really enjoyed the game so far and I like Luma hunting, but the breeding system kinda... sucks? Do you reckon this will get overhauled when the game's fully released or is this whole fertility and strand system there to stay?
