Howdy doodles everyone!
I was just thinking about Itstsukki's post providing insight about the bans and ban appeal process and how the defamation campaigns waged against Crema can wear on morale. I believe Temtem is a game being made with a lot of love poured in it and is a piece of art. I don't think any piece of art should be immune from critique, but every critique made should consciously be made being mindful that there are other real humans on the other side of the art responsible for creating it. (ie. You can explain why you dislike something without throwing an F-bomb at someone.)
Someone is more than welcome to make a post talking about the choices they don't like in Temtem, but I think it would be really cool if we could gather here and share in discussion about some of the decisions we really like about Temtem. So what is worth merit posting here? Please comment something you like about the game that is a stylistic choice that you believe exists because someone at Crema made a conscious decision to walk in that direction.
For me, one thing I really appreciate about Temtem that I didn't think I would come to enjoy as much is the visual style of the tems. I thought they were too cute and the art style was too plain. But playing it has become one of my favorite aspects of the game. Tems with their lil tum-tummies like Tateru and Saipat are adorable, but still even Tems that look incredibly cool like Gyalis and Myx, you can't help but want to hug endlessly. I don't know if its appropriate to call the art style cell-shaded, but overall it makes me feel pleasant and warm as I transverse the different islands. Its one of the reasons I keep logging on and play so much in the background.
