I have the d50 pistol in my inventory, have all the parts necessary to craft the Liberty Exotic, and I am at level forty. I can't equip the d50 pistol or craft the liberty because it says I don't have the d50...WTF?

Is it marked as favourite? is it the correct level D50? Is it hte specialization one?
