Introduction

=> The Division 2: Story Trailer

Seven months have passed since a deadly virus hit New York City and the rest of the world, crippling the population and the social structure. When the virus hit, The Division, a unit of civilian sleeper agents, was activated as the last line of defense. Since then, Division agents have been fighting relentlessly to save what remains.

For the agents of The Division, the stakes are now higher than ever. Washington, D.C. – the most heavily protected city on earth – is at risk, leaving the entire nation on the brink of collapse. If Washington, D.C., is lost, then the nation falls. As a Division agent who has been in the field for seven months, you and your team are the last hope to stop the fall of society after the pandemic collapse.

As you arrive in Washington – you see that the civilians have banded together in settlements to rebuild their society, but their very existence is threatened. Work closely with them to keep them safe and in turn, they will come to your aid and provide supplies and assistance to build up your base of operations, giving a deeper meaning to the people and the world around you.

SPOILERS

For the first full 4 weeks of launch (12th March through 31st March), all story spoilers are required to be marked as such. Below are the rules for spoiler content:

  • Posts may not use a spoiler in the title. If your post is about the story, be vague in the title while still giving readers an idea of what you're talking about.
  • Posts that are spoilers must be marked as a spoiler using Reddit's spoiler feature. Depending on your viewing platform, there is an option to set your post as a spoiler.
  • Comments that include spoilers should use the Reddit inline spoiler tag if they are being created in a non-spoiler post. See below.
  • Discussing gear, specializations, or things that aren't otherwise driven through story do not need to be marked as spoilers. If you've seen it on a Massive stream, it does not count as a spoiler.
  • Purposely ruining someone's day with a spoiler during this period of time will result in a ban. Don't ruin someone else's fun.

INLINE SPOILER TAG

To mark text in your comment as a spoiler, use this format:

>!Your spoiler text goes here!<

When you use that format, it looks like this.

This format works on new Reddit, old Reddit (CSS on or off), mobile Reddit and many Reddit apps.

Sorry to add to your workload but can you inquire with someone about why a Gold Edition upgrade isn't available for those of us that purchased AMD GPUs to get Div2?

Seems like a lost opportunity for extra sales. Most of us won't buy the game again but we'll totally pay ~$30 for the upgrade on day 1 or day 0.

Hey! I'm not 100% up to date on how the AMD offer works, it's a special key you claim via their site in some way?

I'll inquire regardless, just need to figure out where to dig first :)

EDIT: I checked and was told you should be able to reach out to support and they will help you through the process.

Any news or kind of confirmation about the at-home playtest mail that people received ?

Didn't see any kind of confirmation for that, and since playing before the 17th would invalidate participation in the study, I am really interested in an answer.

Hey! There should be an email today for those that did not get chosen - if you haven't already received a confirmation that means you belong to this group and can play safely.

Should be information in there about who was picked and why too, if you are curious.

Thanks for your interest in this by the way, we were super glad to see so many people respond.

Perfect thank you so much for this official confirmation !

I was a bit worried that this was a phishing attempt initially so I'm really glad that you could answer. Didn't receive any mail yet but I'm monitoring my mailbox. I am also glad to Massive and Ubisoft for this initiative as it shows real commitment to actually listen to the community and the players on the game and the playing experience.

If you knew how stressful it is to send out official emails for that purpose alone (people suspecting it's fake). We probably lose a lot of great potential responses just because a lot of smart people are cautious... :p

I get cold sweats every time I send an email to more than 1000 people after that one time I accidentally gave away 16K codes for a just released game (way back before I worked here).

The code doesn't get released until the game gets released on Friday.

You redeem the game on the AMD rewards site and on release date or a few hours after they'll send a code or request you to link the game via uplay. I'd be surprised if they've redeemed the code already on their account. Chances are once it's redeem on Friday after it's release they'll have the option to upgrade.

Ah OK, thanks for the heads up. I'm digging a little anyways just to see if there's anything I can help with - but good to know it'll probably work out.
