[2021] What's the best way to find other players to play story missions with?

I recently got Div 2 WONY edition and I've played the story missions until the lvl 16 one.
I've been trying to matchmake for like 2 days and I've gotten nobody.
Is it just an on-and-off thing?

(I played the earlier missions with mostly my friend who was playing on the free trial)
