My writing skills aren't so great, but I found an issue today, which I will detail in list below:
Deleted my 4th slot character (that I use to run WONY with for Scavenging Points.)
Created a new character.
Went through the first mission chain, up to talking to the quartermaster.
Used the level 30 boost.
Went to my stash, inspected my weapons.
Sorted by Weapon Type, Quality, Level, a few times.
Went through and deconstructed some exotics (9).
Resorted by quality.
And that is when I noticed several items that were NOT marked to be deconstructed, had suddenly been marked for deconstruction. I very carefully went through and unmarked those items - some were still favorited (with the Star.) Some were not longer favorited. Around 10-12 items in total had been 'marked' for deconstruct. ~135 weapons in stash in total.
I checked all the other gear in the stash, and the mods. Nothing else seemed amiss (but possible to already have been deconstructed >_>.)
Continued to deconstruct another 11 exotics.
Checked again, and found two more items had been marked for decon. (One was favorited, the other was not - even though I am sure I had favorited that particular item.)
Went to Inarya(sp?) and brought the shared materials blueprint.
Was about to delete character when I thought I should check it as well.
Found THREE guns that I did not move from my stash. Railsplitter, Bighorn, and a CTAR. On the character's inventory. The Bighorn was marked for deconstruction, despite me favoriting it after I got it about two weeks ago.
Moved them back to my stash.
Deleted that character, and am remade to test again.
No apparent issue on remake, though I can not say that I did everything "exactly" as I did the first time that caused the issue.
Short version: The game randomly marked about a dozen guns in my stash for deconstruction, AND moved 3 weapons randomly to my character during the course of the above listed events. And if you don't check, it's possible to deconstruct items that you 100% set to favorite.
It is entirely possible I lost additional items without noticing while deconstructing the exotics.
