If you want to tell a story, create a movie or book.

If you want pretty pictures, create art.

If you want to make a video game, put your passion into game play mechanics.

None of the timeless games have a story. Chess, sports, go, cards, none of them have any story. None of them are focused on pretty graphics either.

You will know if your game is good when you enjoy PLAYING it. Games are meant to be PLAYED, not watched. Can't watch a game if no one is playing it.

Personally for me the way in which video games have advanced over the years, I think games can and should have it all
They all work wonderfully together and the creative industry is booming with many talented individuals.
