So if you guys aren't aware, Massive made a really cool statue for E3, and on it they engraved some players names. They said they did at random from players who signed up for the beta but this ETF member said they had their name on it without signing up.

Which is fair enough, I have no problem with influential and valuable community members having their name guaranteed to be on there. But Joker never got his name engraved, and as far as I am concerned there is very few members of this community that do more for us than Joker does. He has been here since day one and so much of the sub relies on him. Just take a look at the wiki - most of that is him. Look at the effort that goes into his SotG posts and the E3 threads - all him. And he never ever asks for any recognition. I remember one time I pointed out to him that a popular YouTuber word-for-word copied one of his summaries for their video and his response was, "Doesn't matter, as long as the info is getting out there." Dude is so under-appreciated. So I think his name not being there is a glaring omission, to say the least.

I'm posting this to bring some attention to this issue and hopefully the guys at Massive see it.

edit; I've been made aware that there are a number of big streamers visible on that statue so I think it's safe to assume that there are definitely people who have been hand picked to have their names engraved. I'd also like to add Joker worked his ass off over this week. I would believe him if he told me he hasn't slept in days.

edit 2; I know some of you guys may read this and roll your eyes seeing as though there was a Joker appreciation thread just last week, but I think the community showed in that thread that they do appreciate him. If Massive are showing their players that they appreciate them too, then they should show Joker some of that love.

Hi there,

Just to shed a bit more light on the statue. The names added there were a mix of random picks from Beta registrations, Content Creators and PR partners, Star Players and Community members. For the last two, we focused on those that were present at E3 as they would physically be able to see their name added to the statue.

I absolutely agree that some crucial names from our community are still missing, but who said that E3 would be the last you saw of this statue. ;)
