Hello everyone,
I'm pretty excited about this Transmog system, however, I'm trying to figure out all the details. Currently, I don't have the possibility to download the PTS and check everything by myself. So here are some questions, which bother me:
1. Do Named Items (like Sacrifise, Motherly Love, Deathgrip, Hollow Man etc.) have their own unique appearance OR they have the same model as the non-named item? And if Named items have the same appearance, how will the system count the amount of masks in the Appearance Collection?
For example, I have a Hollow Man and a regular Yaahl Gear Mask. How many masks will I have in my Appearance Collection? One or two?

  1. Some brands have only one model for each piece of gear, but in the article "Gear Transmogrification Breakdown" (posted by Ubisoft on 19 August 2020) we can clearly see absolutely identical models of Body Armor with slight color changes and they are counted as separate models.

So my question is: should we farm not only this one piece (for example W&H kneepads) but all its variations as well because of slightly different COLOUR, not the model? Sounds a bit crazy to me)

  1. Will we have some kind of library, like we have on the recalibration bench, but separated for brands? For example, Airaldi Holdings, 1/1 mask, 1/2 chest, 1/1 holster etc. Would be extremely useful to understand, which gear you have already obtained and which you still need to hunt for)

That's all my questions for now. If you have the possibility to answer, I would be glad to read your comments)

  1. The named items do not have a unique appearance. the named weapons got unique paint skins, thats about it. and the named items all have a base model. the base model is whats unlocked when you pick the item up, the named items' name will not even appear in the appearance list, just the base model aka "flak jacket". All your unlocking is the models, not any unique skins that may or may not be present on the named item.
  2. Yes, there's different models and you'll have to physically pick up each one. But this is done automatically, as you play the game and you pick up items, the items are automatically added to the appearance list permanently, all you need to do is touch the item and its yours for ever. Also, you need to be aware that there are different models for lower level brands like the green, blue and purple gear, some gear model you can only get when lvl 1-7, 8-12, ect.
  3. Yes there is a library, but not like the recalibration library. Its more of a list thats gets bigger with the more items you collect. its not separated by brands, but separated by gear piece. example, when looking at appearance pieces for chest, only chest pieces will be visible. Similar to how only blue mods will be listed if your on a blue mod slot. I didnt see a location to view ALL the gear appearances at once. I dont see a way to tell what models your missing or not. It doesnt tell you. And back to those pieces that are similar, they are numbered, like those pieces you saw that looked the same with a similar name as well. So you can tell if you missing models there. Dont know if we can change the order, I never thought about that till now.
