I work in a profession where communication with clients is sometimes far more important than the results they get. The problems they are going through cause them stress and anxiety. They’ve paid me a lot of money because I know what they don’t, and sometimes just knowing that I’m listening to them, taking their concerns seriously, and providing feedback makes a world of difference. I am a huge Destiny fan, but the silence from Bungie on issues like PvP balancing, drop rates, cosmetics, etc., is infuriating. Hell, they won’t even give us hard numbers or percentages IN THE GAME. You have to guess what item, buff, and power descriptions mean!

This is how you do community feedback (Looks at BioWare and Bungie). Explicit acknowledgment of player concerns and the path going forward. Now, instead of wondering if I’m wasting my time, I can continue to play the game and not worry so much about builds of this type or that. Are we in a bullet sponge simulator forever? Oh look, an answer!!!

I just want to say thank you, Massive, for having the guts and integrity to include us in the thought process and the discussion. We are your paying customers, but more importantly, fans of your product. We are part of your community, and you part of ours. And I feel like Massive is truly one of the only game companies that gets that. It’s not Us vs Them.
