I don't write code and I am am not a programmer, but when something is fixed, does it even get tested that the fix didn't break something else...skills were fine for a couple of days and then boom, now the turret is jacked up or the hive won't go out...I will say that I am getting adjusted to the different gameplay and if they can "fix" stuff, I think it is going to be solid...
And to answer Fout15, I cant speak for how Ubisoft handles devops, but most successful software houses subscribe to the concepts of devops and have a lot of tooling in place and process/policies all with the goal of making it less likely that fixing A doesn't break B and that doesn't get caught in testing or QA. That said, induced bugs can and still do happen... especially when cutting an emergency type of patch.
But, that is exactly what devops and agile (a set of methodology concepts) exist to make possible -- to deliver software in increments very frequently, which is stable and well tested. So if this has happened, it generally means there are some kinks to work out in house.
All that said, I do feel I need to mention that my own experiences as a customer of Ubisoft over the years has been that they have their ship together better than anyone else. In general their games launch in a more finished state and with stability versus most of their competitors. Excepting of course Assassin's Creed Unity.
