TLDR: To the 7 agents whom died trying to extract at DZ2 last night, thank you for giving me the most awesome fight I had ever experienced in Survival.

Story Time: Decided to fire up Survival, it has been a while, but since my lady fell asleep a bit earlier than usual, I figured I would delve back into Survival, and grind away at the Commendations left in there.

I queued up for PvE this time around, as I just wanted to chill /space-out and enjoy the atmosphere and work on some of those sweet patches. I had a decent run before I hit the DZ, but I did notice the same agents going down and the same other agents picking them back up. Also, as I passed by a Landmark in the LZ, I saw the same gents dropping loot to one another. Confirmed my suspicion that there was at least two 3-man or 4-man groups in my session. Not a big deal in PvE I thought, as long as I get to some D-Tech crates before they do, I am good.

Made it to the DZ no problem, and quickly nabbed my anti-virals and some of the D-Tech, and bee lined to the safehouse to craft my trusty Custom M44 and ACR. As I was in the Safehouse, I get the notification that someone called an extraction. Then I see shortly after, that same agent died from a hunter. sh*tty, I am sure he was a good man. Then I see two more names pop up, and they also died from a hunter. Sounds like they had a good fight on their hands, so I check the map, it is at DZ2 rooftop extraction. I never go there to extract, I prefer the Scorched Crossing myself.

Since I needed the Scavenger commendation and a few more Hunter kills for the BumbleBee mask, I figured I would loop over there before hitting some more landmarks. Then, as I was leaving, I see 4 more names pop up and they all die from Hunters within a minute or two.

One agent remaining... Damn, Hunters are collecting some nice watches in this session. As I made my way along Kalkessi Store, I pulsed, and holy sh*te.... I couldn't believe my eyes. 7 hunters. Thing is though, they were not up top on the rooftop, but they were all down in the street, on the scaffolding, and in the two alleyways at and across the Sports store.

I wasn't fully decked out in golds just yet, had only two gold weapons and gold holster and chest, rest was blues/purple, but I knew this was a rare kind of situation. Had 34 minutes left on my timer... I am in. My body is ready. YOLO. All those things.... Haha. I hunkered down behind one of the cars and started and started the fight with a headshot on one of the unsuspecting Hunters.

Two of them had turrets, one had a seeker mine, one had a nasty sticky bomb and one also had a faulty seeker mine (it kept getting stuck in the middle of the road, too bad so sad I thought, as this happens to me all the time in Legendaries when I am running my solo Tact build, haha).

As I was right next to the sports store, I was careful that this fight was not pulling aggro from within the sports store. But so far, the LMB didn't give a rats ass about the war that was being waged outside. Awesome!

One by one, I was dropping the Hunters down. One particular Hunter was grinding my gears, as he kept spamming his heals and had 100% accuracy on his blind-fire SVD. No biggie I thought, I will pop a couple more shots to his dome, and get rid of him. When the smoke cleared, I was victorious. I took them all out, they put up a great fight, hell I put up a great fight. LoL There was a couple of close calls, but I still had one med-kit left, so I am doing good. I starting picking through all the gold/purple/blue spires scattered across the roads and alleyways. I quickly learned there is actually an inventory limit in Survival (not talking about the 6 contaminated slot bag). I had to deconstruct a few items....but all this loot should convert to all gold gear for me when I am back at the safehouse.

As I was in the menu, going through and deconstructing, a lone heavy machine gunner comes from out of nowhere and downs me while in my menu. No idea where he came from. I didn't hear the aggro sound effect, he didn't make peep, he just turned the corner and started to burn me down. I never held the revive button harder in my life... but it didn't matter. His gun would not let up.. there was a sale on unlimited round magazines it seems. LoL. I couldn't revive myself. Survival run is over... What a party pooper.

Anyways, thanks again to those brave souls who fought the good fight last night, you we all avenged in the end. To that Lone Machine Gunner who prevented my happy ending... thanks for reminding me how to never let your guard down in Survival. LoL.

An awesome story for anyone wanting to get into Survival for the first time! You crashing the Hunter party is definitely one for the books. Don't worry about the Heavy. You still walked away from it all in better shape than Faye.
